The year 2025 marks a turning point in the forklift market in Israel. Data from the Ministry of Transportation shows that during the year, 2,581 electric forklifts were delivered in Israel, reflecting the industry's continued transition to electric propulsion solutions, against the backdrop of environmental requirements, operational efficiency, and expanding activity in logistics centers and industrial factories.

Of all the deliveries, Toyota ranked first with 546 electric forklifts, slightly ahead of STILL, which finished second. This is a notable achievement, as for years Toyota has primarily led the diesel-powered forklift sector, and in 2025 it also conquered the electric segment - currently considered the fastest-growing segment in the industry.

The data points to a competitive and dynamic market. After the two leaders, Jungheinrich, LINDE, and other manufacturers were ranked, with the gaps between the leaders narrowing, indicating increased competition and the growing presence of additional players in the local market.

An examination of the types of tools sold in 2025 indicates that the main demand was focused on electric counterbalance forklifts for warehouse and industrial uses, mainly in lifting capacity ranges of 1.5 to 3 tons. These are tools suitable for ongoing logistical activity in logistics centers, industrial factories, and production lines.

The data also shows that in recent years, and especially in 2025, there has been an increase in the use of lithium batteries, which allow quick charges during the workday, high operational availability, and reduced pollutant emissions in the work environment - a trend that matches the growing transition to electric propulsion solutions.

Industry sources note that alongside the technical specifications of the tools, the availability of service and maintenance has become a central consideration in purchasing decisions, especially among logistics and industry companies that operate continuously.

In an interview with Yaron Gortler, CEO of Union Industrial Vehicle, he noted that one of the main reasons for choosing Toyota is the extensive service system it operates, based on dozens of nationwide service vehicles, ensuring high availability, quick response, and operational continuity.

"Leading the electric forklift segment reflects the market's trust in Toyota's propulsion solutions - a combination of technological innovation, advanced safety systems, proven reliability, and above all a professional service system, the largest in Israel, that accompanies the customer all the way", Gortler summarized.

The 2025 data reinforces the estimate that the electric segment will continue to expand in the coming years, with a gradual decrease in the use of diesel forklifts, mainly in closed logistics sites and industrial facilities.
