Newlog, a Zim lines subsidiary and a leading international freight forwarder and customs clearing agent, has reached an agreement with UTi Worldwide inc. to act as its sole representative in Israel. The agreement will be signed later this week.
UTi has become a broad-based, information-focused company offering a wide range of global integrated logistics to a customer base that stretches worldwide. The company operates 264 offices worldwide and manages 120 logistic centers in 58 countries.
UTi Worldwide, Inc., through its subsidiaries, operates as an international, nonasset-based logistics company. The company offers air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs clearances, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage, and other supply chain management services.
In addition, UTi Worldwide serves various industries, such as the pharmaceutical, retail, apparel, chemical, automotive, and technology electronics industries. UTi Worldwide serves its customers through a network of offices and contract logistics centers in Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Africa.
The company ended last financial year with an income of US$ 2.5 billions before tax.
