Orian, one of Israel's leading logistics companies, has announced the appointment of Brigadier General (Res.) Daniel Hagari as a director in the company. The appointment was approved after Hagari submitted his eligibility statement in accordance with the Companies Law and corporate governance rules.
Daniel Hagari (49) enlisted in the IDF in 1995 and volunteered for the naval commando unit, Shayetet 13. During his service, he served, among other things, as commander of Shayetet 13, head of the Operations Division in the Navy, and director of the Chief of Staff's office. In 2023, he was appointed IDF spokesperson with the rank of Brigadier General.
Hagari is considered one of the prominent figures in the field of strategic communication in Israel. As part of his role, he served as the IDF Spokesperson during sensitive periods, managed complex information systems during emergencies, and served as the army's symbolic ambassador to the public and the world.
Since his release from the IDF, he has served in senior management roles, strategic consulting, and accompanying large organizations in the public and business sectors. His extensive experience in communication, crisis management, and organizational governance is expected to strengthen Orian's supervisory and strategic guidance capabilities.
Orian, owned and managed by Chen Lamdan, is a central player in the Israeli supply chain, operating in the fields of logistics, distribution, shipping, and brokerage. Hagari's appointment comes at a time when the logistics industry is grappling with global volatility and operational challenges, digitization, and continuous supply improvement, areas where his managerial and strategic experience is likely to contribute significantly.
