CHINA SHIPPING CONTAINER LINES CO., LTD and ZIM INTERGRATED SHIPPING SERVICES LTD, announced that they have reached an agreement to further expand their cooperation by operating a new service between the Far East and the East Med and Black Sea ports.
The service, to be named “Asia-Black Sea Express” (ABX), will be deploying 8 vessels of 2500 teu’s capacity and will call the following ports:
Tianjin – Dalian - Qingdao – Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Chiwan – Port Kelang – Damietta – Piraeus – Istanbul (Kumport) – Constantza – Port Kelang - Tianjin
The service will commence beginning of January 2005 and at the first stage will provide bi-weekly sailings. During the second quarter of 2005 the service will be upgraded to a weekly service.
Zim’s spokesman said that the new service is expected to meet the growing demand and the market needs for direct sailings between the Far East and the East Med and the Black Sea ports.
