The Port of Haifa set last week record for container traffic in 2012
Data released by the port noted that on December 3rd 2012 the port recorded the unloading of 1,263,553 20-foot-equivalent units, exceeding the count for the previous record 1,263,552 , 20-foot-equivalent units for the full year 2010.
The Port of Haifa expect an all time record of over 1.3 20-foot-equivalent units to be unloaded until the end of 2012.
The new record was reached during the unloading of "Zim USA" a TEU 3,822 container ship registered in Liberia.
