Israel Ports Company Announces Pinchas Tzruya as New CEO

Pinchas Tzruya has been officially appointed as the CEO of Israel Ports Company, following approval from the company's board and relevant ministers

Following the approval of his appointment by the company's board in December 2024, Israel Ports Company (IPC) announced that on the morning of April 24, the official appointment letter was delivered. The appointment was approved by Miri Regev, Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, and David Amsalem, Minister for Regional Cooperation, in accordance with the decision of the board of Israel Ports Company.

The decision was made under the authority granted to the Minister of Transportation and the Minister for Regional Cooperation under Section 37 (a) of the Government Companies Law, 1975, following consultation with the Appointments Review Committee.

Tzruya's appointment takes immediate effect and he will begin a transition period with outgoing CEO, Tiko Gadot, starting Sunday. Accordingly, Tiko Gadot, who has served as CEO until now, will end his role as CEO of IPC and return to his previous position as Deputy CEO of Finance for the company after the transition period.

Pinchas (Pino) Tzruya has served in recent years as CEO of the Medica network of medical centers, which includes hospitals and medical centers, and previously as CEO of Assuta Medical Centers. Prior to that, he served as Deputy CEO of Finance in several companies in the economy. Tzruya was chosen for the position from among 50 candidates.

In the rationale of the Search Committee, it was written that 'he is a very experienced person in leading large organizations in the economy, who has demonstrated knowledge, experience, and reputation in the fields of operation, logistics, and physical infrastructure. In addition, Mr. Tzruya is a capable manager and leader, with a rich financial background, a developed business sense, and the ability to lead organizations even in a changing and competitive environment like our industry. The Search Committee unanimously recommended to the company's board to appoint Mr. Tzruya to the position, and is confident that he will lead Israel Ports Company successfully in the coming years.'
