Transportation Ministry Meets with Adani and Gadot, Secures Commitment to Haifa Port

Representatives of Adani and Gadot met with the Israeli Transportation Ministry, affirming their commitment to developing Haifa Port and strengthening the Israeli economy.

Yesterday, a meeting took place between the Director-General of the Ministry of Transportation, Moshe Ben Zaken, and representatives of the owners of Haifa Port - the Indian Adani Group and Gadot Company. Representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Chairman of the Shipping and Ports Authority, and the acting CEO of Israel Ports Company were also present.

The meeting was conducted in a positive atmosphere, and it was agreed to continue the fruitful dialogue between the parties. Adani's representative, Mr. Sumit Chauhan, stated that the group is committed to developing Haifa Port using its extensive global experience in the field of seaports. He emphasized that the Adani Group sees Israel as a strategic partner and looks forward to close cooperation with the country for the benefit of developing the port and the Israeli economy.

The Minister of Transportation and Road Safety, Miri Regev, welcomed the meeting and noted that "Haifa Port is an economic anchor for Israel, and the investment of the Adani Group and Gadot ensures its future. The State of Israel sees the development of port infrastructure as a vital step in strengthening the economy".

The Director-General of the Ministry of Transportation, Moshe Ben Zaken, added: "In accordance with the policy of Minister of Transportation Miri Regev, we see great importance in the development of Haifa Port and all ports as engines of growth for the Israeli economy, a solution to the operational queue at the ports, and to reduce the cost of living".

The parties agreed to continue the discussions and cooperation to promote the port's development plans, while maintaining its stability and contribution to the Israeli economy.
