The board of Ashdod Port Company has approved the financial reports for the second quarter and first half of 2025, which include the approval of a 300 million shekel dividend payout to the state from the company's accumulated profits. Over the past decade, dividends totaling approximately 1.3 billion shekels have been declared, including the latest announcement. The dividend payout is being made despite the impacts of the war, which has had a profound effect on the entire Israeli economy and the port sector in particular.

Key results for the second quarter of the year:

The company's revenues for the second quarter amounted to 291 million shekels, compared to 247 million shekels for the same period last year. The net profit for the second quarter of 2025 amounted to 84 million shekels, compared to a loss of 20 million shekels for the same period last year. The operating profit before other expenses for the second quarter of 2025 amounted to 33 million shekels, compared to an operating loss before other expenses of 22 million shekels for the same period last year, due to the impact of the 'Iron Sabot' war.

Key cumulative results for the first half:

The company's revenues for the first half of 2025 amounted to 593 million shekels, compared to 461 million shekels for the same period last year, an increase of 29%; net profit for the first half of 2025: 104 million shekels, compared to a loss of 27 million shekels for the same period last year. Operating profit for the first half of 2025: 58 million shekels, compared to an operating loss of 45 million shekels for the first half of 2024.

The port's financial results are attributed to all port activities; the container, vehicle, general cargo, bulk and passenger ship sectors.

In the container sector: The volume of containers loaded and unloaded at the port in the first half of 2025 amounted to 361 thousand containers, compared to 333 thousand containers for the same period last year. An increase of about 8%. The market share in local containers remains at 40.4%.

In the vehicle sector: In the first half of 2025, about 45 thousand vehicles were unloaded at the port, compared to about 39 thousand vehicles for the same period last year.

Bulk sector: In the first half of 2025, 4,574 thousand tons of bulk were unloaded and loaded (not including fuel shipped by sea), compared to 4,420 thousand tons for the same period last year.

The volume of general cargo in the first half of 2025 amounted to 775 thousand tons, compared to 451 thousand tons for the same period last year. The growth is due to the continued increase in demand for general cargo and recovery in the construction industry.

Passenger ship sector - The 'Iron Sabot' war has currently halted activity in this sector and the port is preparing for its renewal. In June 2025, six ships from 'Mano Cruises' docked at Ashdod Port, carrying about 12 thousand passengers.

Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Ashdod Port: 'The financial results of the second quarter and the first half of the year reflect the resilience of Ashdod Port and its importance to the functioning of the economy in times of emergency. Ashdod Port managed to generate positive cash flow every quarter, despite the war and its effects on the economy. The board approved a dividend payout to the state of 300 million shekels. Our strategy of diversifying the port's revenues, providing the best service to all cargoes and reducing the operational queue proves itself also in the operating profit line.'

Nissan Levy, CEO of Ashdod Port Company: 'The port's financial results for the second half of the year are exceptional, with the highest level of revenue for a half since the start of competition with private ports. This is despite the effects of Operation 'With All My Might', which, thanks to the mobilization of workers during the operation, did not miss a single ship's service from the port, all of which received service even in times of emergency. The results are impressive and demonstrate the strength of Ashdod Port, which is based on a combination of forces between the board, management and workers.'

Dudi Amsalem, Minister for Regional Cooperation and in charge of the Companies Authority: 'Ashdod Port Company continues to display excellent performance also in the second quarter of 2025. The port continues to flourish and impress, including before, during and after Operation 'With All My Might'. As always, Ashdod Port Company is an example and a model of responsible and successful activity of a government company. The company's most impressive financial results teach about its resilience and financial strength. I sit back and applaud and thank from the bottom of my heart all the managers and managers, all the dedicated workers and all those engaged in blessed work. The entire people of Israel feel great pride in our national port, which continues to display beautiful results and most impressive performances.'
