The container sector experienced an increase of 24 per cent, to 111,086 TEU
During the month of May, the Port of Ashdod experienced an increase of 20% in cargo moving, compared to the corresponding month last year.
In a statement issued by the port, it noted that the container sector experienced an increase of 24% (TEU111,086 ), compared to the corresponding period.
In total the port handled during May 1,904 thousand tons an increase of 20% compared to the parallel (1,591 thousand tons).
General cargo last May was 199 thousand tons, up 27% compared to the parallel.
