The extended service will commence on Dec. 29 with the sailing of the MSC Vienna V.34A from Gioia Tauro, Italy
Mediterranean Shipping Company has announced the extension of its California Express service linking Italy and Spain with the U.S. West Coast to include calls in the Pacific Northwest.
The California Express currently serves Long Beach and Oakland. Later this month, the service will be extended to include Seattle and Vancouver, Canada.
The extended service will commence on Dec. 29 with the sailing of the MSC Vienna V.34A from Gioia Tauro, Italy. The vessel will arrive in Vancouver on Jan. 29 and in Seattle on Jan. 30.
The revised port rotation will be Gioia Tauro, Napoli, Civitavecchia and La Spezia, Italy, Valencia, Spain, Cristobal and Balboay, Panama, Long Beach, Oakland, Vancouver, Seattle, Oakland, Long Beach, Balboa, Cristobal and Gioia Tauro.
A company spokesman noted that the new upgraded service will offer highly attractive transit time from and to Israel via Valencia. Transit time from Israel to Vancouver will be 35 days and 36 days from Vancouver to Israel. Transit time to Seattle will be 36 days and 35 days from Seattle to Israel.
