Msc Israel announced last week the inauguration of a new direct service fro Israel to the Adriatic port of Koper. The Port of Koper lies in the gulf of Koper in the point in which the Adriatic Sea indents the most into the European continent.
The Port of Koper is situated on the shortest route, connecting Middle and East Europe with the Mediterranean countries and the countries of Near and Middle East and, through the Channel of Suez, to the countries of Far East. It covers, with its services, an area with an outstanding economic potential. This area comprises the countries, which are mostly members of EU: Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Italy and others.
Middle and East Europe represent a rich hinterland for the Port of Koper, to which it is linked by good logistics and telecommunications connections. The port geographic location and its highly advanced port services enables MSC to offer fast and direct land transportation to the port's European hinterland.
