ZIM reports that it is expanding its container fleet with a significant addition of 500 new 40-foot HC Flat Rack units, designed to cater to exceptional and complex cargoes. These new containers are specifically intended for shipments with unique requirements - large, bulky, or simply those that do not fit the standard framework.
The Flat Rack containers have a reinforced structure: strong steel frames capable of carrying particularly high loads, with the option to add Heavy-Duty covers for additional protection. This design allows maximum flexibility in loading, even when dealing with cargo that is exceptional in its shape, volume, or the weight it carries.
A representative from ZIM stated that "this addition strengthens our maritime and terrestrial transport array, and allows customers to enjoy higher operational security alongside diverse transport options."
