The TEU 8,762 container vessel is the third of a series of six ordered by the shipping company
Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) received recently the TEU 8,762- "MSC Agadir", which is the third in a series of six ships ordered in early 2011 from Hyundai Samho by the Ofer Brothers and Schulte Group with the backing of a long-term charter from MSC.
These six ships form part of a wider programme for 12 wide-beam newbuildings, ranging in size from TEU 8,762 to TEU 9,000 with a high reefer capacity of 1,000 reefer plugs.
The ship will make her maiden voyage on MSC's Asia-Haifa-US East Coast 'Golden Gate' Pendulum service. She follows the MSC Arica which was delivered in September.
