Israel Port Development and Assets Co., Ltd was awarded the silver prize of IAPH Information Technology (IT) Award. The award was presented during IAPH World Ports Conference held in Houston, Texas, USA 27 Apr - 4 Mar 2007.
In a statement issued during the conference the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) said that the award demonstrates its commitment and leadership in promoting the use of IT in ports by organizing a biennial contest for the membership to compete for excellence in IT application in a port.
IAPH has developed into a global alliance of ports, representing today some 230 ports in about 90 countries. The member ports handle over 60% of the world’s sea-borne trade and more significantly, nearly 90% of the world’s container traffic. It is a non-profit-making and non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
