In the first six months of 2008 Haifa Port registered a 39% increase in passengers passing through the port
Zeev Avnor, director of the Haifa port's passenger terminal said last week that 2008 will see a dramatic increase in luxury passenger ships calling at the port.
In a statement issued by the port, Avnor noted that the port had already experienced, in the first six months, 39% increase in passengers passing through the port, compared to the parallel period in 2007.
Avnor noted that two luxury vessels called at the port in recent weeks; the MS Nautica belonging to Oceania Cruises fleet, accommodating 684 guests in elegant comfort and the MS Pacific Princess a cruise ship owned by Princess Cruises, accommodating 670 guests.
