ISRAEL’s navy intercepted last week a German-owned boxship carrying hundreds of tonnes of weapons, 161 km off Israel’s coast
The TEU864, Antigua & Barbuda-flagged Francop, was intercepted with dozens of containers carrying 500 tones of weapons and ordnance including Katyusha rockets, assault rifles, mortar shells, grenades, and anti-aircraft platforms, reportedly disguised as civilian cargo.
The Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the cargo was to be delivered to the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.
