DAL offers weekly southbound sailings from Marseille to SA main ports. Seventy One Shipping Co. will act as their agent in Israel
DAL - Deutsche Afrika-Linien, one of the most highly respected operators in the trade between Europe and Southern Africa added last week Israel to its service schedule.
DAL offers, as from 1 July 2009, weekly southbound sailings from Marseille to SA main ports. The routing of the Israeli cargo will be via Valencia on the Core Service to South Africa.
The company announced that Seventy One Shipping Co. headed by Eran Hassid will act as their agents in Israel.
DAL is a founder member of the Southern Africa Europe Container Service (SAECS), a Vessel Sharing Agreement (VSA) between DAL, MOL, Maersk Line and Safmarine.
Hassid noted that within SAECS, DAL with its well established agency organization provides the most reliable service in the trade between Northern Europe and Southern Africa, connecting all major areas in both Europe and Southern Africa.
DAL will use M/V 'Carmel Ecofresh' and M/V 'Carmel Biotop' to feed in and out of Valencia the Israeli inbound and outbound cargo.
The southbound schedule will call at Valencia, Las Palmas, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, East London, Walvis Bay, Maputo, Beira.
The northbound schedule Beira, Maputo, East London, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Cape Town, Las Palmas, Santa Cruze, Vigo, Bilbao, Livorno, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia.
Hassid added that the new Premium service to and from South & East African ports will ensure the Israeli trading community will enjoy weekly reliable services.
