The port of Ashdod announced it had reached an all-time high container movements for a 24 hours period.
In a single 24 hours period, the port moved last week 5,013 containers, up 10 percent from the last record, reached in October 2011, during which the port moved 4,564 containers. During the 24 hours period, the port handled seven container vessels.
Port productivity was reinforced by all employees, due to the call made by the MOL container vessel which serves the weekly Asia-Black Sea Express Service (ABX) operated by the G6 Alliance agreement.
