The Israel Motor Vehicles Importers Association reported last week that 101,692 vehicles were delivered in Israel in January-August 2006, 2.5% more than during the parallel period of 2005.
The association provided delivery analysis indicating that 84,045 cars were delivered in January-August, 5.3% more than in the corresponding period of last year.
The top manufacturer brand in the eight months period January-August was Mazda, with 16,968 deliveries, up 0.5% on the parallel period of last year.
Hyundai came in second place, with 13,626 deliveries, down 9% and Toyota brand was in third place, with 12,412 deliveries, up 9.5%.
Deliveries of commercial vehicles was down 22% to 8,406, and deliveries of off-road vehicles was down by 4%.
In August 2006 alone 13,378 vehicles were delivered, 8% more than in August 2005.
