Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute said last week it was launching an Israeli business center in Beijing and a forum for Israeli companies doing business in China.
In a statement issued last week, the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute said that the Israeli business center in China was a joint initiative between it and the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Labor it added that the number of Israeli companies operating in China rose in 2004 by 96 to 731, a 15% increase, compared with 2003.
The center, which is the first of its kind in the Israeli foreign trade structure, will provide Israeli exporters, interested in penetrating the Chinese market , with marketing and administrative services.
According to the Export Institute the center will be operated by JPI a Chinese company which has extensive connections in China, proven experience in working with Israeli companies, and good knowledge and familiarity with Israeli and Chinese business cultures.
The Export Institute added that new forum for Israeli companies doing business in China is a new idea for supporting Israeli companies either operating in China, or are to begin operating in the Chinese market.
