During last week rocketcrash into the Sderot industrial area, hitting Universe Packaging, a local wood packing factory, one person sustained minor facial wounds from shrapnel when the factory roof collapsed due to the rocket's impact. Two others were treated for shock.
With Kassams rockets falling not only in Sderot, but also further away, the Manufacturers Association said that 80% of factories suffer from above than average absentees.
There are over 40 factories in and around Sderot, employing over 5,000 workers. The majority are involved in food, metal, plastic and paper production.

The Manufacturers Association claim that 60% of the factories advised that fewer customers arrive while 70% advised that fewer suppliers visit their factories.
Local producers express their worries that 10% of the factories will sell less in the home market while 50% will sell less abroad.
