A new initiative was recently launched at the Ministries of Finance and Industry, Trade and Labor to encourage Israeli exports to China.
Accountant General, Dr. Yaron Zalika, signed last week an agreement with two Chinese companies which will act as "national agents" for Israeli companies and will help Israeli firms penetrate the market in China.
The first of its kind agreement was signed with IT giant Digital China.
Digital China is an information technology services company dedicated to the advancement of digitization in China. The company is currently the largest IT products distributor and systems integrator in China.
China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC), China's largest business consulting company will also sign a similar agreement.
Both companies were selected in a tender issued by the Israeli embassy in China. According to the agreement, Digital China will receive a fixed fee, two-thirds will be financed by the Ministry of Finance and one-third by the Israeli companies receiving the marketing assistance as well as payment from the companies when sales begins.
