This week, Police Commissioner Daniel Levi participated in a festive Ramadan event organized by the Association of Industrialists in the city of Nazareth. The event was attended by many prominent industrialists from both the Jewish and Arab communities, who came specifically to demonstrate unity. Among them were the President of the Association of Industrialists, Dr. Ron Tomer, CEO of the Association of Industrialists, Ruby Ginel, Chairman of the Arab Society in the Association, Dr. Mohammed Zahalka, Chairman of the Northern Region in the Association of Industrialists, CEO of Avipalast Roi Vaknin, and others.

The Commissioner met with the senior members of the Association of Industrialists, who raised various issues with the aim of continuing to promote business growth and the economy in general, and in the Arab society in particular. The Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the Israel Police to continue to deal decisively and uncompromisingly with various criminal issues that harm the Israeli economy, including protection offenses and extortion of protection fees, which are on the police's agenda. He said: 'This is an important conference that provides us with an opportunity to sharpen the blessed cooperation between the Israel Police and the Association of Industrialists, to strengthen the sense of security of the business and industrial community, and of the citizens of the state. Since I took office, I have placed at the top of the police's priority list, the fight against organized and serious crime, against which we are working with all our might to curb crime phenomena, to hit crime organizations, both on the criminal axis and on the economic-administrative axis, and to bring about their collapse.'

'In recent months, we have carried out extensive enforcement operations, in which we have used all the tools at our disposal, including seizure and forfeiture of property and money. We are acting decisively, and in cooperation with government ministries, professional regulators, and enforcement agencies, to ensure that there is no place for criminal activity, not in the streets of the city or the village, and not in the business world that is so important to the Israeli economy. I call on you, industrialists and businessmen, to continue the cooperation and be part of our determined struggle against criminal elements trying to take over the legitimate economy.'

The President of the Association of Industrialists, Dr. Ron Tomer, spoke about the contribution of the Arab society to the economy and said that 'it is possible to increase growth in the economy, among other things, by exploiting the great business and economic potential inherent in the Arab society in Israel. This is through attracting factories and increasing employment rates in the Arab sector.'
