Figures published last week by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) show that most economic indicators rose in the three months period September-November 2005.
According to the CBS exports of goods, excluding diamonds, grew in September-November by an annualized 7.9%, after rising by 5.7% in June-August.
Industrial exports in September-November were up by an annualized 8.6%. However, the CBS noted that imports of raw materials, excluding diamonds and fuel, fell in September-November by an annualized 0.6%, and industrial output index dropped 1.1%.
Imports of investment goods were up 10.4%, and proceeds of chain stores and supermarkets grew 3.9%.
Proceeds of business and real estate services grew by 10.4%, while total proceeds of all commerce and services rose by 7.4%.
