Passenger traffic at Ben-Gurion International Airport grew 14%

The rise reflects a recovery in tourism after the Second Lebanon War last summer. IAA noted that Airline traffic rose by 7.5% to 6,786 flights
 
The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) reported last week that international passenger traffic through Ben-Gurion International Airport grew last month by 14% compared to July 2006. Some 977,000 passengers passed through the Ben-Gurion airport through July 28.
 
The rise reflects a recovery in tourism after the Second Lebanon War last summer.
 
In a detailed analysis of trends in the passenger traffic, the IAA noted that Airline traffic rose by 7.5% to 6,786 flights.
 
Internal flight traffic grew at 2.8% for the same period to 28,380 passengers.
