Maman Cargo Terminals and Handling Ltd advised last week that due to projected increase in cargo movement it will, until January 5th 2006, enable customers to clear cargo 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In a press release the company said it expected total cargo movement for the year to reach 26,000 tons.
Until January 5th, in order to comply with increasing demand, the company has considerably increased its workforce in order to provide a round the clock service.
Maman's director general Eli Dalal said that the present initiative is part of the company's efforts to improve services to the public. Dalal added that the company had pulled up all available resources to be able to satisfy the projected demand.
