Israel adjusts international air routes due to rocket threat

Israel's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) adjusted flight paths for passenger and cargo planes using its Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
 
The decision to adjust flight paths for passenger and cargo planes was taken by Civil Aviation chief Giora Rom after rockets were fired from the Gaza strip on the coastal metropolis, the civil aviation chief said on Monday.
 
Rom noted that the new regulations at Ben-Gurion International Airport had been in place shortly before an Iron Dome rocket interceptor battery was installed nearby. The decision did not affect takeoffs or landings at Ben-Gurion.
