Austrian Airlines - High Court imposes settlement on flight dispute

Austrian Airlines took late last May the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to the High Court ( HC) over the latter's decision not to allow the airline to schedule three additional weekly flights on the Tel Aviv-Vienna route.
 
Talks between the parties, held after claim had been submitted to court, faild to reach any conclusive agreement.The High Court of Justice ordered an interim settlement and approved the airline to fly additional two weekly flights to its seven scheduled flights to and from Israel.
 
Lawyers representing Austrian Airlinessaid after interim settlement was ordered thatit will continue with its petition for a third extra flight a week In a written statement the State Prosecutor's Office said last week that the issue should better be dealt by the two civil aviation authorities and that airlines should not pursue such issues in court.
