Georgian Airlines "Airzena" announced last week it decided to cancel its Tuesday flights between Tel Aviv and Tbilisi for the month of February, because the line doesn't pay.
The company added that it will continue to fly on Sundays and Thursdays, still using 105-seat Boeing 737 jets.
Georgian Airlines is the national airline of the Caucasus republic of Georgia based in the capital, Tbilisi. It is a privately owned airline operating services from Georgia to destinations in Europe and the Middle East. Its main base is Tbilisi International Airport.
Georgian Airlines' Tel Aviv office noted, however, that the Tuesday flights will be reinstated in March 2010, and plans to add a fourth weekly flight in the summer.
The company operates one Boeing 737-300 Boeing 737-400 two Boeing 737-500, one Boeing 737-700, tow Bombardier CRJ100, two Bombardier CRJ200 and one Bombardier Challenger 850
The company operates services to the following destinations:
Frankfurt (FRA), Vienna (VIE), Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Alma Ata Airport (ALA), Kiev (KBP), Minsk International 2 Airport (MSQ), Athens (ATH), Dubai (DXB). Riga (RIX) and Kharkov Airport (HRK).
