Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport will resume operations today, Wednesday, March 26, with the renewal of domestic flights, and from March 30, international flights will also operate from it.
After upgrade and maintenance work, Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport will open for domestic operations only. From this date, all domestic flights to destinations within Israel, particularly to Eilat (Ramon), will take off and land at Terminal 1 only.
During April, approximately 1,400 international flights are expected to depart from Terminal 1, constituting about a quarter of the flights departing from Ben Gurion Airport. The flights will be operated by many airlines to popular destinations across Europe, including Sofia, Budapest, Bucharest, Berlin, Rome, Athens, Rhodes, Warsaw, Vienna, and more.
The Airports Authority emphasizes to passengers to check in advance from which terminal and floor their flight departs.
Transportation Minister Miri Regev said: "The reopening of Terminal 1 is good news for the traveling public in Israel. The terminal will allow passengers to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant travel experience and will help reduce congestion at Ben Gurion Airport. We will continue to work to improve service for passengers and expand the destinations to which one can fly from Israel."
