Wizz Air, the most active international airline in Israel in recent years, held a press conference where it emphasized the company's commitment to Israel and its Israeli customers.

During the meeting, the company's head of communications, András Rado, announced the return of the company's routes to the Greek islands of Rhodes and Crete starting this summer, as well as the expansion of operations from March and April on other routes, including daily flights to Vienna, Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Rome, London, and Warsaw.

According to Rado, Wizz Air, one of the first to resume flights to Israel, will maintain its status as the largest international airline in Israel even in 2025. Wizz Air's operations in Israel consist of 17 routes and 117 weekly flights for 1.55 million customers.

At the meeting, held at the Leonardo Boutique Hotel from the Fattal Hotel chain, András also described the company's global operations in 2024, with 62.8 million passengers, 100 new routes, and a total of more than 800 operating routes in 52 countries, and a fleet comprising 229 aircraft (34 aircraft joined this year). In addition, the company is expected to add about 100 new aircraft to its fleet in the next two years, which will increase the flight offer and flight frequency across the network, including in Israel.

András also spoke about Wizz Air's sustainability efforts and the company's goals, with a young fleet of aircraft (average aircraft age of 4.7 years), initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, and more - initiatives that have resulted in Wizz Air being declared the greenest airline in Europe and the Middle East at the CAPA conference for two consecutive years.
