Silk Way Airlines, a cargo carrier based in Baku, Azerbaijan, announced the inauguration of air cargo service from Ben Gurion International Airport to Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.
Heydar Aliyev International Airport (IATA Code: GYD) is the principal airport of Azerbaijan, and potentially a major hub for the whole of the Caucasus region. The airport is the largest airport in the country and among the busiest in the Caucasus region, serving airlines from across the CIS, the Middle East and Europe.
UNITAG Ltd, Silk Way's local General Cargo Sales & Service Agency (GSSA) noted in a press release that the first flight, operated by B767-300F, will take place on November 22nd.
The company offers cargo transshipment from Baku to Kiev – KBP, London – Stansted, Frankfurt – HHN, Milan – MXP, Tibilisi – TBS , Shanghai Pudong International Airport – PVG, Hong Kong International Airport – HKG, Moscow Domodedovo International Airport – DME, Beijing Capital International Airport – BJS.
