Delta Air Lines is resuming its daily direct flights to Israel from JFK Airport in New York today (Monday, May 20). The route will be operated using an Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. The decision to resume flights, which were temporarily suspended due to the ongoing security situation in the region, was made after a comprehensive risk assessment by the airline. Seats can continue to be booked on Delta's global code-share flights, subject to availability.
Delta continues to monitor developments in the security situation and conducts operational assessments in accordance with security guidelines and intelligence reports. Further updates will be published on the Delta News Hub.
The company has stated that its policy of ease and ticket cancellation remains in place, and a 'Travel Waiver' has been issued for customers who purchased flight tickets to Ben Gurion Airport until May 5, 2025 (inclusive), for flights scheduled until May 25, 2025.
